Robyn Tucker-Peck

CEO, Reputation Media Group Inc.

While still at Hong Kong University, Robyn’s intro into the magazine industry was for Style Magazine, the first bilingual fashion magazine in Asia. There she met Serge Lutens of Christian Dior and other lead designers of the high fashion brands. This early influence gave her a passion for imagery and style, the foundation of her career.

Wanting more challenge, Robyn moved to London where she joined the conglomerate International Publishing Corporation (IPC). Cecil Harmsworth King, the Chairman, was a significant inspiration and she worked on many of his magazines, including Homes and Gardens, Ideal Home, Women’s Journal, Women’s Weekly and Women’s Own. Her ultimate desire was to work for all the great magazines. She then left IPC to join Cosmopolitan in London, the first Cosmopolitan magazine to branch out of New York. Under the leadership of Helen Gurley Brown, growing the UK edition included many hours of editing hundreds of stories coming from New York.

While at Cosmopolitan, she heard the new owner of the failing society magazine Tatler, Australian real estate magnate Gary Bogard, was looking for a new team to transform it into a modern magazine. Robyn jumped at the chance and worked alongside Tina Brown for the transition. After a successful transition, The Tatler created vibrant, youthful content with featured covers of Bianca Jagger, Margaux Hemmingway, Princess Caroline, and Jerry Hall among others. Photographers such as Norman Parkinson, Helmut Newton and David Bailey were permanent contributors and the magazine was credited with putting the edge, the irony and the wit back into what until then had been an inward-looking social title.

Going back to her roots, Robyn was headhunted to join Alain Charles Publishing, a technical magazine group wanting to tap into the industrial boom in Asia and China. She moved to Singapore in the 80’s to set up their offices across the region, and as a journalist travelled back and forth to Asia from Alain Charles’s London Head Office. Robyn expanded into reporting on Construction, Aviation, Agriculture and Technology. It was at this time she learnt the language of the various industries which she still utilizes today. Robyn eventually transferred to Cleveland and then Chicago, to establish their US office where she eventually settled, managing the US and Canada operations for the Group.

Robyn Tucker International Marketing Inc. was created to be the representative office for Alain Charles in the early 90’s, growing the portfolio to include Asian Aviation, Far Eastern Technical Review, Far Eastern Agriculture, Asian Telecommunications and Middle East Communications. The goal was to establish the magazines in America and engage the largest US corporations, e.g. Boeing, Rockwell Collins, Northrup Grumman, Cessna, Gulfstream, Caterpillar, John Deere, Pfizer etc.

Meeting and marrying her husband (now 28 years) was a pivotal moment in her life. She moved to Bermuda where he was living and carried on with her business. From technical content she shifted to tourism, joining Island Press, which was responsible for Bermuda’s Official Tourist magazine, as Publisher. Robyn transformed Preview Bermuda into an elegant island magazine, creating bright covers and local photography shoots with local models. She then moved with her husband to Hong Kong where she became General Manager for her old boss from the Asian Tatler empire, Lina Ross Mohindar and Boya Mohindar. Their new magazine was “Gafencu” a men’s luxury lifestyle magazine.

A transfer from Hong Kong to Vancouver, Canada with her husband came next and in 2014 she was hired by Homes and Living Magazine. In 2015, seeing the lack of luxury magazines and following her vision to start a luxury magazine, she went searching for an investor. In early 2016 she joined Paul Mann of Mann Media to create luxury lifestyle magazine HLM. As Associate Publisher, Robyn wrote and guided content for every issue, contributing ideas, vision, editorial features and strategic direction. She also wrote technical stories on aviation and nautical vessels to cast a wide net into the US and European markets, covering stately homes, iconic jewelry, watch collections and celebrities with a local flair. HLM also featured history profiles and couture brands like Chanel and Zenith, with Robyn writing under the pen-name Angela Taylor.

In 2018, she successfully launched Reputation Media Group Inc to leverage her expertise to help companies focus on their brands. In 2020 she developed the global application World in Beauty™ to allow users to see the world differently. Creating a positive message, the app focuses on craftsmanship, design, fashion, architecture, nature, food, jewelry, interiors, toys, and beauty. She is the Editor and Founder of World in Beauty™ and writes for Jetsetter Magazine in Asia.
